Perfect for urban environments and areas with space constraints, these potable water tanks are discreetly installed underground, protecting your water supply from environmental factors and visibility. Larger buried tanks are generally limited to concrete options and offer superior durability and land use optimization, which can allow the surface area above to serve other purposes. Underground concrete tanks can also store wastewater, raw water, or industrial liquids. HDPE and fiberglass tanks are an option for smaller underground applications.

These tanks are typically used where the location of the tank is not high enough above the service areas to provide adequate water pressure. Elevated tanks, common in flatland areas, can also provide a steady flow of water to large and hilly service areas. However, many types of steel storage vessels with steel support structures also exist.
