Our Services
RESPEC has worked on geothermal research and development worldwide, from the United States to Colombia to New Zealand. Our work in Canada and Guatemala advances geothermal energy development, helping clients explore, drill, develop, and manage their projects. Because of our global experience in both high-enthalpy hydrothermal and low-enthalpy sedimentary heat systems, we can guide you through your geothermal project, no matter your location or resource.

Geoscience Experts
RESPEC’s highly experienced geothermal geologists offer exploration and geoscience consulting services tailored to the needs of individual clients—whether they are a greenfield prospect, reaching into a new part of an existing field, or targeting wells in an established field. Our services include exploration planning, geological and conceptual modeling, exploration activities, field supervision, data analysis, pressure/temperature logging, and well testing.

Exploration
After the studies have been completed, drilling should proceed and a clear conceptual model should be used to select drilling targets that will further the understanding of the commercial resource. This strategy will lead to the most productive use of drilling dollars. RESPEC assists by creating an exploration plan with clear milestones and decision points.

Drilling & Well Engineering
RESPEC provides geothermal drilling engineering services, including well design, workover design, and detailed drilling procedures and permit preparation. Our drilling engineers design wells to meet long term project needs and reduce drilling risk, considering the analysis of available data to determine the most efficient drilling practices and develop less expensive, more efficient drilling techniques.

Start-up, Production, & Operations
When the time comes to put theory into practice, trust RESPEC's project management experience to supervise subcontractors, oversee construction schedules, and ensure turn-key facility operations. Once running, our team's focus shifts to optimizing production and clearly defining the transfer of responsibility for high-consequence engineering systems.
